General Info

Bohemian Light Music Festival is a free, two-day festival featuring 45+ performances programmed across four separate outdoor venues located in downtown Fort Collins. The festival is open to all ages.

Bohemian Light Music Festival is being produced in 2021 by Bohemian Nights, LLC in place of Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest.

Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday Aug. 15, 1-8 p.m.

Venue Info

There are four separate outdoor venues: Mountain Avenue Stage, Library Park Stage, Linden Street Stage and Oak Street Stage. All venues open at 12:30 p.m. both days and close following the final scheduled performance on that stage. A full music schedule detailing performance times will be available on Aug. 2 here.

All performances are first come, first served. Each venue is enclosed with limited capacity, standing-room only. There is limited seating available in our ADA viewing areas for attendees who require accommodations. These areas are available on a first come, first served basis. Skateboards are not allowed within the venues. Strollers are permitted in Library Park Stage, Linden Street Stage and Oak Street Stage venues. They are not permitted within Mountain Avenue Stage venue. Stroller parking is available outside of that venue.

Metal detectors are located at the entrance to each venue. All personal items are subject to search. Please help access to venues run quickly and smoothly by reviewing our list of Prohibited Items in advance.

Each venue has limited capacity. Access to venues is first come, first served. Re-entry is not guaranteed if you exit a venue.

Festival Amenities

Attendees are encouraged to visit the festival information booth near the intersection of Mathews and Oak streets during festival hours for information about the music schedule, venue guidelines, public health and safety, accessibility, volunteering and festival amenities.

In addition to the numerous downtown dining options available, a variety of food trucks will be stationed on-site during festival hours. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed within all four venues (please note, coolers and large bags are not permitted). Alcohol sales are limited to each venue; attendees are not permitted to exit venues with alcohol.

Portable toilets are available throughout festival grounds and within each venue.

Free water stations are available throughout festival grounds. Bring your water bottle and fill up at these fountains provided by the City of Fort Collins.

Band merchandise tents are located at each venue. 100% of band merchandise sales go directly to the artists.

During festival weekend, lost and found items will be taken to the information booth near the intersection of Mathews and Oak streets. Following the festival, unclaimed lost and found items are given to Fort Collins Police Services. Fort Collins Police Services can be reached at 970-221-6835.

Don't forget your sunscreen, water bottle, sunglasses, hat and a smile!

Bad attitudes, outside alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, glass, umbrellas, fireworks, pets, selfie sticks, chairs, large backpacks and coolers. Personal items are subject to search throughout the festival. Attendees can expect metal detectors and bag checks at the entrance to each venue.

Attendees are encouraged to not bring bags into festival music venues. If bags must be carried into the venues, we request use of clear bags to help facilitate efficient and effective security screening.

Strollers are allowed throughout the festival and within Library Park Stage, Linden Street Stage and Oak Street Stage venues. They are not permitted within the Mountain Avenue Stage venue. Stroller parking is available for attendees who wish to enter that venue.

Yes, outside food is allowed within the venues. Please note large bags and coolers are not permitted.

Yes, unless a performer requests that no pictures be taken. Selfie sticks are prohibited at the festival. Don't forget to use #FoCoMusic in your post!

No, unless the artist has given you permission.

Pets are not permitted within stage venues and we strongly discourage people from bringing them to the festival. Large crowds and loud noises are common, and pets can often be overwhelmed by sound or be uncomfortably crowded, hot or dehydrated. Take care of your fellow beings and your pet’s health by leaving your pet at home.

Transportation

The Downtown Transit Center is located two blocks from the festival. Refer to the Transfort and MAX transit schedules at ridetransfort.com/max.

There are three downtown public parking structures open for event parking: the Firehouse Alley Parking Structure located on the corner of Jefferson Street and Chestnut Street, the Civic Center Parking Structure located on the corner of Mason Street and Laporte Avenue and the Old Town Parking Structure located on the corner of Remington Street and Mountain Avenue. More information about parking downtown can be found at fcgov.com/parking. We strongly encourage people to carpool, bike or use public transportation.

Attendees are encouraged to use temporary bike parking available during the festival. Bicycles left at temporary parking after the conclusion of the festival will be removed at the owner’s expense.

There is a free skateboard parking structure available for use near Trimble Court Alley and Whitton Court Alley. Please utilize this structure, as skateboards are not allowed within the stage venues.

Safety and Security

Personal safety is paramount at Bohemian Light Music Festival. Please report any suspicious activity immediately to police or to event security staff. Please be respectful of the event security staff and police, who are there to help make this free community event safe for everyone.

We understand there are varying levels of comfort when it comes to public gatherings, and we want everyone to feel safe at Bohemian Light Music Festival. We ask that attendees adhere to all current public health and safety guidelines to help make this event safe and enjoyable for all.

Masks will be available free of charge throughout festival grounds. Please wear a mask if you are unvaccinated. Please respect individuals’ personal space and maintain a comfortable distance from those outside of your household. Wash your hands often with soap and water at one of our handwashing stations or utilize our sanitizer stations located throughout the festival.

Bohemian Light Music Festival is a rain or shine event. If severe weather poses an immediate safety risk, attendees will be asked to exit the venues and seek permanent shelter under a secure structure. Announcements will be made from the stages regarding delays, cancellations or evacuation procedures. Weather updates will also be posted on the festival Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Once the weather has cleared, performances will go on as scheduled.
